Dear Friends,
There is more to life than that which appears on the surface. When I feel the warmth of a hug from a hurting child or from a friend, it's not just the extension of the arms that feels good but the love that is expressed through the embrace.
Life is difficult, and simply knowing that someone is encouraging me, smiling and extending grace to me, holds a powerful message of God's love.
I just finished talking to Thomas, a young teenage boy living with HIV, who is dealing with the disease, body changes and peer pressure. "I just need a hug and to talk to someone I know will understand," he said. Our conversation continued in loving recognition of one another, with gratitude for the family of REACH and for the acceptance of God's continued grace.
Thank you for your encouragement, for loving the REACH family, and for your continued financial giving. Each of your gestures of support feels to us like a hug from God.your expressions of love bolster our spirits. We are deeply encouraged and grateful.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10, The Bible
Blessings my friends,
