Dear Friends,

"There is a bridge between time and eternity... this is the bridge of the human sprit."

I speak with one heart, soul, and mind, although sometimes the work of staying firmly grounded in the community of faith while solidly committed to the secular community for the purpose of extending compassion makes for an exhausting stance. Still, I count it a privilege to serve.

Recently, board members, advisors and staff came together to vision the future of REACH. As I quietly sat listening to their dreams and hopes for the future, I was overcome by the unity of love that I witnessed. By the time our work together ended, the history of REACH had been shared, conversations had taken place and a picture for the future had been well articulated.

REACH embodies that bridge of the human spirit by spanning the expanse of great human need. REACH provides opportunities for change in the lives of hundreds of isolated children affected by HIV/AIDS and their families through mentoring, education, and psychosocial and spiritual support. Never do we work without the awareness of God's spirit enabling us to touch lives; Christian and non-Christian, alike. For the sake of the children, their families, and the communities in which we live, I beg you please help us continue to serve.
